About me

Hello, 

My name is Jenny. I'm married to Ben and mum to two ever growing teenage boys, a gorgeous little daughter and my Jack Russell Lulu.

 I'm an artist, cook, crafter, thrifter and generally creative being who likes to blog about such things.

I teach cookery from my home for children and adults and am a home carer in the mornings.

 My biggest  passion is for food. I love cooking and baking, and have found as I've got older I like to challenge myself that bit more and am now venturing into the world of cake decorating.

I always encourage my little girl into helping in the kitchen, she dons her apron rolls her sleeves up and gets involved at every opportunity! I teach children and adults cookery from my home part time and love it!

I am a total homebod, and very house proud! My dream is to own a large Victorian house or cottage somewhere rural with all period features intact, and fill it with vintage pieces at bargain prices... Home restoration and designing are a favourite hobby, I love finding bargains at boot sales.  I also like to paint in oils mainly portraiture and nudes. 

I also have a new found love {addiction} to crochet.

My dog Lulu is a  Parson Jack Russell and is my baby and constant companion. I like  the great outdoors and walking again because of her, its fun!

I love the winter. I like the cold, darker days, lots of fairy lights and candles, and just love being cosy. I'm happiest by the open fire dog on my lap crocheting away until I feel sleepy. Eating comfort food. Baking. I am completely bonkers about Xmas and everything about it.

I look forward to Spring. {Because I like gardening}

I like the summer less...{I hate the heat, get bitten a LOT, and drink too much wine. The best part of summer is a caravan break to my beloved Cornwall. Simply the best coastline in the world.
